Events in 2020/2021

Here are the events for next year as they stand. We will update this list as it develops. Go to the Online Lectures page for lectures and virtual tours during lock-down.

Due to the Coronavirus lock-down and associated risks we have with regret decided to pause all further lectures for this year (March to July 2020 inclusive), postponing them where possible into our next year, which starts in October 2020. Our visits to Chawton House and Berkeley Castle are also cancelled. See the sidebar and Events page for details of next year's lectures, so far, and the April and May Newsletters (under News below) for further detail. We are very sorry for this but believe it is the safe and responsible thing to do.

For this year, in order to fill the gap for all societies, The Arts Society UK and their lecturers have set up some online lectures for us all and will expand these as the weeks go by. You can find details and links to these and other lectures and tours in our new Online Lectures page.

Our best wishes for a happy and healthy time until we do meet again.

Devizes Committee

We are a member of The Arts Society, a leading arts charity, and are based in Devizes, Wiltshire.

Except during August and September, we meet every third Wednesday of the month in the beautiful surroundings of Devizes Town Hall to hear an inspiring lecture from one of the country’s leading arts experts. Topics cover a wide range of interests from architecture and china to painting and sculpture and much more besides.

For more details about us see Our Society page

Our year runs from October to July. See our Current Events page for more details of this year's programme of lectures, visits, study days, Christmas party and all other events.

The April Newsletter, below, has details of our plans in light of the current Coronavirus situation. The May Newsletter is the latest update.
